signet ring sculpture

The rectangular signet plate and the rest of the surface of this ring are treated rough with silversmiths’ files, thus show marks and scratches, as if the piece has been carved from a plain ring. Contrasting the rough surface, the inside is polished smooth.
Each ring is hand finished, resulting in a similar, never identical look.
