is the symbol for silver.
The “925”
means sterling silver. 925 parts of 1000 chemical parts in the metal are silver, 75 parts are copper.
The “KL”
is my signature as master craftsman and a combination of my initials with something personal.
The “900”
means gold. 900 parts of 1000 chemical parts in the metal are gold, 100 parts are silver and copper.
These hallmarks are originally to be stamped into silverware like spoon, knife, fork, pot, bowl or plate. For jewelry the alloy (925/000) and the signature are enough.
